Spring Tease, Basketball, and Lots of Jumpin! Week 7

I have to be honest but it's hard keeping up with which week I'm on, so I have to look at my previous post each week. The good news is that it gives me a reason to look back at those memories captured by the photos. It's only the end of February and we have already made some fantastic memories; many of which deal with snow. Many people are tired of the snow, but we have enjoyed it! With that said there are no snow pictures this week!  We got a wonderful sneak peak at some spring-like weather this past Sunday! It was refreshing to get outside and let the kids play at the park. Then on Saturday we took the kids to their first basketball game and went to a birthday party afterwards.

PSALM 30:5

Honestly, I was very intentional when I made this photograph. I knew I wanted to add scripture but I wasn't sure which. I was in the middle of editing when I started thinking of a friend that has been going through a hard time for awhile now. Psalm 30:5 is a verse that gives HOPE. A HOPE that is CERTAIN.

Then I started thinking about several other people whom I love dearly that are going through hard times. My thoughts drifted to many who were going through hard times but have once again found joy. They overcame.

Have you found yourself in a dark place or on a road with rocks and trash littering the path? Do you feel like the weight of this world is on your shoulders? Please know that God is with you and you will get through this. "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."

More Snow (Week 6 of Project 52)

Well now, we have had such a blast with all the snow poured on us lately..I have to admit that I was really excited at the amount of snow. I ended up going sledding by myself at 11:30 at night. I wasn't scared or lonely at all. The beauty of the snowy landscape lit up everything around me, and I just breathed in the fresh air and HAD.A.BLAST. :-)
Here are some pictures of the fun times we had. (Thanks mom for taking the picture of me and Tim!)

He stepped into my wet boots and followed me out the door. Don't worry-he was only out there for a minute dressed in his pajamas ;-)

She ran outside to check out all the "fluff"! :-)

Sorry this is a little blurry but look at all that snow! :-)

Jackson's 3rd Birthday! (Week 6 of Project 52)

Jackson turned 3 on January 12th and we celebrated with a small party at home that day. He was actually sick but managed to smile and eat up an entire cupcake! Every birthday I reminisce about the day he was born, and every year I say it feels like yesterday. Well, some days it seems like yesterday, but sometimes it seems so long ago. He has grown and learned so much over the last year. He talks much better now and is healthier since getting those tubes in his ears last year. He carries on the most adorable conversations, and randomly gives hugs and kisses when I least expect it. He loves adventure, and perhaps he enjoys getting into things a little too much...he can be mischievous at times, but always sports a grin no matter what. Jackson loves playing with toy cars, big trucks, and his lightsaber. He also loves all things Batman although he has yet to see a Batman movie or cartoon. Over the last few months he really started to enjoy looking at books and will actually sit still long enough to listen to a story! I see so much good in my son and feel overwhelmingly blessed to be his Mommy. Although he can be a "handful" at times, there is no other "handful" I'd want. I love him so much and I'm very proud of the boy he's becoming.

Happy 3rd Birthday Jack! We love you!!!!!

Last weekend we had him a McDonald's birthday party! I know, out of character for me, but it was a great place for kids to play. Warning: Picture Overload!
